Making The Delicious BBQ Ribs In The Instant Pot
Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs after patting them dry.
Rub the ribs with a little liquid smoke to help the seasoning stick, then rub with the seasoning mix. Before cooking the ribs, let them sit for 15 to 30 minutes.
Fill the pot insert with apple juice and place a steam rack inside. Insert the ribs into the Instant Pot after coiling them. Allow some room between the coils to allow the steam to circulate around the meat.
Seal the top and cook for 25 minutes on manual/high pressure, then let the pressure naturally release for 15-20 minutes before quick-releasing any leftover pressure.
Place the ribs on a baking pan to cool.
Brush with barbecue sauce and broil for 5-10 minutes. Flip it over and do the same thing on the other side.
Serve.

Notes
- I cooked with apple juice, but you can use any liquid of your choice. Pickle juice, beer, broth, or just plain water are all some of Pickle juice, beer, broth, or just plain water are all of alternatives.
- You may need to cut the spareribs into sections to fit them into your pot.
- I had some leftover homemade BBQ rub from another recipe, but you can certainly use store-bought rub. I adore McCormick's flavor, which comes in such a wide range of flavors.
- If you prefer your ribs to have a bit more chew, cook them for only 20 minutes. If you want them to fall apart further, increase it to 30 minutes.
