- Cayenne pepper
- Crushed red peppers
Making Green Chile Chicken In The Crockpot
Add four chicken breasts to the croc and a half cup of chicken stock.
Also, add some cream cheese and two cans of chopped green chilies, and then some spices.
So for the seasonings, we’re going to add some black pepper and salt and also some garlic powder and cumin.
And then, because I like a little bit of heat, I sprinkle on some crushed red pepper, just a little bit.
I do also add a little bit of cayenne pepper, of course, you can taste it and see how hot you think it is or how you like it and adjust accordingly. You can also reduce the chicken stock or broth if you don’t want as much liquid.
Close the lid and cook it on low for four hours. I removed the lid and stirred it around and shredded the chicken using two forks. At this time, you will see it as pretty liquidy, but once you mix it, it will be a little bit thick.
It essentially tastes like a white chicken chili, but there are no beans in it. So like I said, you can reduce the liquids if you want them thicker and if you eat it like this, it’s considered keto.
But I normally put mine on little buns and make little sandwiches with them and it’s really good.
I do love this recipe. I’ve made it several times. I love the kind of dumping goes recipes that don’t take too long to make, and this is one of them.
