Slow Cooker Bacon Wrapped Chicken Breasts

Ingredients
  

Chicken breasts

  • 8-12 slices bacon
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsps garlic minced (about 2 cloves)

Optional

  • 1/2 tsps salt or to taste
  • 1/4 tsps black pepper freshly ground or to taste
  • fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl add brown sugar, minced garlic, pepper, and a little bit of salt for taste.
  • On a separate plate place chicken breasts and rub half the quantity of spices mixture all over the chicken breasts.
  • Wrap each slice of chicken breasts with 2 to 3 slices of bacon. Make sure the chicken breasts are wrapped completely.
  • Place the wrapped chicken breasts in a seam side down single layer evenly position in the crockpot.
  • Spray the remaining brown sugar on top.
  • Cover and close the lid. Cook on LOW for 3 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Remove the chicken from the pot and place it on a plate and cover it with aluminum foil to keep it warm.
  • Allow it to rest for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Optional: After the chicken breasts cooked, you can cook it further for 2 to 3 minutes in a broiler to make the bacon crispy and brownish color.
